Every coin-validator has up 18 coins programmed - but has no concept of their value. Therefore, the NCC needs to provide a table to the phone, which contains the monetary value for each coin and it's size (used to determine when the coinbox of the phone is full and needs to be emptied).
This is a collection of known coin-sets. (Update 2024: The coinsets listed here are “known” as in: “See in the wild”. With the source code dump of VAL-ESC, the original programming software, a whole bunch of premade coinsets have also been uncovered. They should be added to the list at some point.)
